Reading Bootcamp: Groups
Join Hathorn Therapy Services for a small-group Reading Bootcamp designed to strengthen core reading skills and build confidence in early readers. Led by a licensed speech-language pathologist, this intensive five-session program uses explicit, evidence-based instruction to target skills that support successful reading. Sessions are structured, supportive, and engaging, while encouraging students to make meaningful progress and become life-long readers.
At Reading Bootcamp, we’ll focus on:
Phonemic Awareness - Learners play with individual sounds in words through fun games that build the foundation for reading success.
Speech Sounds - Children master correct pronunciation of tricky sounds using stories and multisensory activities.
Decoding/Reading - Students connect letters to sounds and practice with engaging decodable texts.
Spelling - Budding writers learn to map sounds and words through hands-on activities, like magnetic letters, whiteboards, and word games.
Literacy-Based Intervention - Children experience the joy of reading through interactive read-alouds and engaging comprehension activities.
Extension Activities - Creative projects reinforce literacy skills as children illustrate story characters, create mini-books, and participate in dramatic play connected to their reading adventures.
Session Dates: July 6-10, July 13-17
Times: 9:00-10:30 - Rising PreK and Kindergarten
11:00-12:30 - Rising 1st and 2nd Graders
Pricing: $500 per week
Minimum one-week commitment required.
Reading Bootcamp: Individuals
Join Hathorn Therapy Services for individualized reading support designed for students in rising kindergarten through 8th grade. These one-on-one sessions are led by a licensed speech-language pathologist and use explicit, evidence-based instruction to target decoding, fluency, comprehension, and the language skills that support strong reading. Intervention is tailored to each student’s unique learning profile, providing focused, supportive instruction that builds confidence and promotes meaningful, lasting progress. Intervention sessions can be provided in-person or via telehealth. Minimum one-week commitment required.
Dates: July 6-10, July 13-17
Times: Individual time slots are first come, first serve from 1:00-4:00 PM.
Pricing: $700 includes five, 50-minute intervention sessions.
Executive Functioning Bootcamp: GroupS
Join Hathorn Therapy Services for an Executive Functioning Bootcamp designed to help students build the skills needed for academic and real-world success. Offered in a small-group format, his program is led by a licensed speech-language pathologist and targets key executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, time management, task initiation, working memory, and self-monitoring. Instruction is practical, supportive, and personalized in order to help students develop strategies they can immediately apply at school, at home, and beyond.
Dates: July 20-24
Times: 9:00-10:30 - Rising 6th-8th Graders
11:00-12:30 - Rising 9th-12th Graders
Pricing: $500 for group bootcamp
Executive Functioning Bootcamp: INdividualS
Join Hathorn Therapy Services for an Executive Functioning Bootcamp designed to help students build the skills needed for academic and real-world success. Designed for rising 4th-12th graders, as well as college students, this program is led by a licensed speech-language pathologist and targets key executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, time management, task initiation, working memory, and self-monitoring. Instruction is practical, supportive, and personalized in order to help students develop strategies they can immediately apply at school, at home, and beyond.

Communication Strategies and Supports for Children with Language and Learning Disabilities
Join Hathorn Therapy Services and DeKalb County Public Library for a workshop designed to help parents and caregivers support the communication needs of their children with language and learning disabilities. Learn practical strategies to encourage language development, support academic performance, and progress with study skills. Make-and-take visual supports will also be provided.

Supporting Your Child's Communication DevelopmenT
