FAQs

Where are you located?

My office is located in the Humanly building at 1123 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30030. I am also able to meet with clients via teletherapy (for clients anywhere in the state of Georgia) and at local schools. In addition, I provide limited in-home services in the 30030, 30033, 30317, and 30002 zip codes.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance. I want to focus on what’s best for my clients, without any restrictions from insurance companies. I can create a treatment plan tailored to my clients’ specific needs and provide the highest quality of care.

While I do not accept insurance directly, I understand that some clients may want to submit claims to their insurance companies for potential reimbursement. To make this process easier, I provide clients with a monthly superbill. Hathorn Therapy Services is considered an out-of-network provider.

Do Speech-langauge pathologists work on reading and writing?

We do! Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are experts in using language to communicate. While oral language (receptive language, expressive language, social/pragmatic language, articulation) is most frequently associated with the field of speech-language pathology, written language (reading decoding, reading comprehension, writing, spelling) is also within the scope of practice! I have years of experience working with clients with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and various language-based learning disabilities.
